Below is my appearance on Constitutional Candidates where I was interviewed by talk show host Sue Jeffers from 100.3 FM KTLK. You can see the show in two parts or directly select your topic of interest. Portions of the program where edited for time. On September 27th, I had the opportunity to debate Representative Tom Tillberry on North Metro T.V. and I would like to share that debate with you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have on any points or statements made. Part One 1: (Showtime 05:59) When I said "Mr. Tillberry has voted for each and every tax increase that has been within the legislature" I was referring to each legislative body "he" has served in. Tillberry's counter was to say "there is no way I could vote for each and every tax increase that on the books" which of course means the entire history of our state - that is not what I said - and he knows it. I then made the point that Mr. Tillberry has a terrible taxation record and has a lifetime rating of 0% with the Minnesota Taxpayers League. I then stated I would like to know what taxes he has NOT voted for that have been before the legislature he has served in. He never rebutted or answered this question throughout the debate. That is because he knows there isn't one. 2: (Showtime 09:34) When I said "He has successfully raised your taxes in his sessions he has been in." I was referring to Representative Tom Tillberry not Governor Pawlenty. The way I worded this led to the confusion. So when I was saying "I think it is important for you to realize that." I was trying to say, "it is important for you to know Tom Tillberry WAS successful in raising your taxes". Part Two*IMPORTANT FACT* 1: (Showtime 00:54) Tom Tillberry states that he does not support funding a Vikings Stadium. Two weeks later at the North Metro Mayors Forum he changes this position when asked the same question from a "Pro Stadium" member of the audience. I called Representative Tillberry out on this. Mr. Tillberry stated at that forum that he had never said he did not support funding for the Viking Stadium during this debate. Fortunately, video does not lie. Clearly, Mr. Tillberry is prepared to say what he thinks you want to hear to get your vote. 2: (Showtime 12:24) I had a lot of things to say in 15 seconds - I struggled with which point I was going to share first and in doing so did not get to share them with you. Here is what you missed. (Point One) Every opportunity Tom Tillberry has had to remove your voice on what goes on in your schools, or to expand the role of Education Minnesota in our schools he has been for it. Tom Tillberry is about "Big Education & Control" while I am about "Local Education & Control". (Point Two) While you do vote to remove your City Council, Commissioners, and School Board - to "Reverse" a state law removing your right to vote for or against extension of school levies requires replacing your State Representative or Senator or both. Tom Tillberry made it very clear during the debate that he is for "REMOVING YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE". This means if re-elected he will once again promote legislation the "REMOVES YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE FOR OR AGAINST THE EXTENSION OF SCHOOL LEVIES" and he will vote for it. I will not. I went to the Jason Lewis Tax Rally so I could talk and listen to hardworking Minnesotans about their issues and concerns going into the election. I was interviewed during the event and I would like to share that interview with you. During the interview I discussed several topics:
Print Dale's Brochure or Read His Plan for Moving Minnesota Forward Here Please note that Dan is wearing a "Vote Helm For House" button on his jacket. I hope you enjoy this footage as much as we enjoyed being there - it was a lot of fun! Below is a tribute to the National Guard and our military in honor of the servicemen and servicewomen who have, will, and are answering the call of our Great Nation and the State of Minnesota. To my fellow MNNG brothers and sisters look for the patch of the Minnesota "Red Bull" Division (in which I was a proud member during my 21 years of service) in the "I Won't Let My Guard Down" video. To all veterans, servicemen, servicewomen, and their families: Thank You - for your sacrifice, courage, and dedication to keeping America the land of the free and home of the brave. We are honored by your service. The Helm For House Campaign would like to thank and acknowledge Katie Taylor Photography, North Metro TV, and Citizens like you for your video and photo contributions. |
